So! Here’s the scenario: You’re on a boat… or a plane. Possibly a submarine. Anyhow, it sinks or crashes… or in the case of the sub, doesn’t sink… or something. Anyhow, long story short, you’re on a desert island which, for some reason, has a DVD player, a TV, electricity and no radio.
Strangely, you knew in advance this was going to happen to you. Apparently Sylvia Browne was actually right about something; no surprise since, after all, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. So you’ve come prepared. Oddly, you didn’t bring any survival gear, but you did bring five books and five DVDs.
So the question is this: what books and what DVDs do you bring? These are the only ones you’ll have for the entire time you’re stuck on the island. I’d love to see what answers you guys have!

Ok, no one seems into this. For the record, here’s the books I’d take. I don’t know what movies I’d take.
1. A book on desert island survival
2. A book on boat building with limited resources
3. A book on navigation
4. A copy of the complete works of Shakespeare
5. A copy of the Bible, but only if it has thin, absorbant pages

OK! Took me a while but here goes:
Movies (can watch these again and again without getting bored)
1. Memento
2. Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas
3. Goodfellas
4. 3-Iron
5. Raiders of the Lost Ark
Don’t really have any books. On a somewhat related note, here’s a sort of quirky desert island survival guide you might be interested in I found in my search:

You know what’s sad? I love movies. Just check my little “Greatest Films” thingy. But despite that I’ve only ever seen Raiders of the Lost Ark on that list.
I nearly picked up Fear and Loathing… the othe day, but went with Iron Man instead… D’oh!
