Ok, so possibly I was wrong. Maybe Sarah Palin won’t be going away, more’s the pity. She seems to have scored lots of points with her speech at the GOP convention. Oh, well. I’m still pretty sure the Dems will win in November, but we’ve shown an uncanny ability to snag defeat from the jaws of victory.
Then again, if we can’t win with Obama, we don’t deserve to win.

Obama will only give himself a chance to win if he abandons John Kerry’s broad and accusatory campaign. You don’t win elections that way. If he can focus on the issues, this will be very fun to watch.

True, it is fun, but according to Rick Davis with the McCain campaign, issues don’t matter, and this is all about personality. *eye roll* I wish I thought he wasn’t at least half right on that.

Aww, rats. I do so love a good death watch …

I could start the John McCain Death Watch, but given his age, I’m afraid that could become litteral.

I saw a poll today that said she has higher approval ratings then not only Biden but Obama and McCain too! I have to admit she’s still a fresh face and I don’t expect that to last. That’s a far cry from starting a death watch though. It is interesting too given the beating she’s taken in the press. Don’t misunderestimate the Hockey Mom.

“The beating”… you mean all those annoying articles vetting her and looking into her past and present activities? If it was a Democrat going through that, like they have been for the last several months, you wouldn’t mind.

Whether I would mind or not misses the point. All of her dirty laundry that came out that would disorient most people thrust into her postion. She’s unfazed and winning people over anyway.

Yeah, but not exactly in droves. Apparently the bounce McCain got out of the convention did nothing more than draw him even with Obama. I guess we’ll see how long that lasts.

It took a few days for Obama’s bounce to show in the polls. At any rate my first reaction to her selection was something like Ferraro II or Dan Quayle in a skirt. Then she started speaking and wow doesn’t begin to cover it. It goes without saying that McCain has gambled his entire political fortune on her. After all he isn’t getting any younger. So far its paying off better then Romney or even Hutchinson could. Indeed we shall see but for now the pit bull wore lipstick.

Whos is Hutchinson?

I appear to have confused the Gentlewoman from Texas with an airport I refueled at in Kansas. Either that or I’m a lousy speller. Kay Bailey Hutchison is who I meant to say.
