I was watching series two of An Idiot Abroad last night, and hapless Karl Pilkington was visiting Russia, riding on the Trans-Siberian railroad. It was pretty entertaining, especially when he met a man who does a “human magnet” schtick. I had no idea how this man was doing what he was doing, though it was clear that no magnetism was involved. So I did a search and found this article explaining the topic.
Then an hour or so went by of me browsing that site. So, yeah.
Go. Enjoy.

Did you see the episode where he went (came) to Japan?

I don’t remember the Japan one offhand. It’s possible I haven’t gotten to it yet. On another note, I spent a couple days earlier this week reading a book called Tune in Tokyo, about a gay man from North Carolina who spends some time in Japan teaching English. I thought about you the entire time.
