I just finished reading a fascinating post discussing the moral theology of Les Mis, including complex issues like Valjean breaking the laws of man to uphold the greater good, and Javert’s inability to give or accept mercy. It’s the sort of thing that intellectuals like me consume with our breakfast, and it’s quite good reading! Check it out here, but be warned! Spoilers!
(on a side note, isn’t it nice that, for a change, I’m linking to something positive and Catholic?)
