That last bastion of uber-maleness has caved in completely on gay marriage. The US military has announced that not only will they recognize gay marriage, but if a soldier or sailor is stationed in a jurisdiction where gay marriages are not performed, they will allow that person a 10 day leave to go get married in a state that does allow that. Name me one private employer who does the same.
I’d like to think that this is the last nail in the coffin of the anti-gay marriage crowd. It isn’t. But at least it’s something.
