Variations on a Theme

When Doctor Who first aired in 1963, it included something that was, at the time, almost entirely unique; a completely electronic theme. That theme has gone on to become one of the most popular, and most frequently remixed (by fans and at the official level), themes in television history.

Today, while stumbling around on YouTube, I found a video that contains most of the roughly five million different versions of the theme, and does so in a nicely-packaged, entertaining format. Watch and enjoy!

And for those of you who are true completists, here’s the second part, that contains most of the spin-off themes and serves to remind me how much I really miss Doctor Who Confidential.
